The nature of jobs in Europe has changed over time – and so has the demand for skills. Some jobs have moved abroad, some have been automated, new jobs, requiring news sets of skills, have been created.
CEDEFOP, the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training, has just released “Future Jobs”, a web page cross-referencing the demand for people to work in various types of jobs, along with information about the skills required. The webpage provides data on employment by occupations, how it has changed over time and is projected to evolve up to 2030.
The lion’s share of job opportunities will be needed, between now and 2030, to replace people who will leave the labour market, mainly to retire.
This information are available for the EU and for each single EU country.
