The United Nations but also the European Union understood the importance to re-think growth in a more inclusive way to enhance sustainable development. This purpose can be achieved, among others, by technological innovation efforts to reach more sustainable patterns of consumption and production and to include the population as a whole (Agenda 2030).
Therefore, since technical and scientific innovations are able to drive efforts towards Global Sustainable Development Goals, to get ready for 2030 deadline we need to find new ways of interaction between scientific and societal progress, using scientific innovation oriented to the common good.
On Thursday 10th and Friday 11th the international conference “Between Science & Society”, powered by the Italian Institute for the Future, occurred in Napoli. It was an occasion to discuss new interaction models between science and society.
